Defecting

The recent international attention is of a North Korean soldier who defected to South Korean. The soldier ended up wounded while crossing the border, however, the soldier will be glad to know he was taken care by a famous surgeon. Lee Cook-jong has inspired two medical dramas based on his work.

The result of the soldier's defection has forced North Korea to make "updates" on its border to prevent future defections.
